REQUIREMENTS TO SHOW:

For all requirements to show please read the Art Gallery General Conspectus linked at the bottom of this page.

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY:

This is an exhibit in our physical gallery and our virtual gallery. Each artist is responsible for bringing the artwork to the gallery on the designated exchange day date and time. Artists who are unable to bring their artwork in on the designated day and time can contact the gallery.

Artists are also responsible for making sure the artwork can be easily hung from our hanging system. This system includes a single or double wire suspended from a track near the ceiling. This wire has a hook attached that can be moved up or down depending on the size of the piece. Select our Wiring Guidelines PDF (linked below) to see an illustration of how this works. Pieces that are to be hung on the wall must be wired on the back or have a dowel at the top to keep them flush against the wall.

Artists are responsible to sit at the Gallery as a docent during the exhibit they are participating in. If you are unable to fulfill this obligation you can complete the form and pay $20. This fee will go towards paying a Docent Coordinator.

INFORMATION ABOUT SALES:

  • Two of the three entries by an individual artist must be fore sale.
  • For artwork sold online, the Artist is responsible for delivery to the buyer. Artist is also responsible for conveying any return or refund policy to the buyer prior to delivery.
  • CCA will keep a 30% commission on each piece sold.
  • Monies for artwork sold will be mailed to the artist before the end of the following month.

Participate in the Member Artist Showcase

YOU DON'T WANT TO PASS UP THIS OPPORTUNITY!

One of the benefits of being a member with CCA is for artists who would like to have an online portfolio of their work. The Member Artist Showcase is a great venue for artists. Artists can upload an image of self, include a bio of up to 300 words, include 12 works of art, and even include a video. Click the link below to open the Artist Portfolio interface. Type in your email address to verify you are a current member and add your content. You can come back to this same interface at any time to change the content.

This same content will be used to create the Artist Book found in the Gallery for visitors to view.

The Wednesday Irregulars

the irregulars

Have you ever wanted to paint in the great outdoors? There's a group of Plein Air (out of doors) painters that meet every week call the Wednesday Irregulars.

The group was started casually by a few misfits here in Cambria over 20 years ago. Others eventually joined and it's become something that people look forward to each week. Some people are award winning artists, while others are less confident. There's a gathering after each session where the artists discuss the work and offer feedback. Each artist usually brings a lunch for this. No experience is necessary, but you will need your own supplies.

Artists work in different mediums depending on their preference and comfort level. Some people just use the venue to experiment with different tools. Sometimes people with no experience join in just because they always wanted to try painting. All are welcome!

An email is sent out each week with information on where everyone will meet. If you're interested contact Cam Arnold to get on the mailing list at camarnold@yahoo.com.

Looking forward to seeing you there
