REQUIREMENTS TO SHOW:
CCA Gallery seeks to exhibit the best of contemporary, as well as traditional fiber art and invites submissions that reflect this wide range of textile creations. Our goal is to include innovative works rooted in traditional fiber processes, structure and material. That said, every work of art must contain some element of fiber to be considered.
For all further requirements to show please read the Art Gallery General Conspectus linked at the bottom of this page.
This is an exhibit in our virtual gallery and our physical gallery. Each artist is responsible for submitting your work using the online take-in form which includes uploading up to three high quality images of your work, filling in all the information describing that work, and paying the take-in fee. Artists are then responsible for bringing the submitted artwork to the gallery on the designated exchange day date and time.
Artists are also responsible for making sure the artwork can be easily hung from our hanging system. This system includes a single or double wire suspended from a track near the ceiling. This wire has a hook attached that can be moved up or down depending on the size of the piece. Select our Wiring Guidelines PDF (linked below) to see an illustration of how this works. Pieces that are to be hung on the wall must be wired on the back or have a dowel at the top to keep them flush against the wall.
Note: If you are unable to use the online form, simply bring your artwork on exchange day and a volunteer will assist you.
INFORMATION ABOUT SALES:
- At least two of the three entries by an individual artist must be for sale.
- CCA will keep 30% commission on each piece sold.
- For artwork sold online, the Artist is responsible for delivery to the buyer. Artist is also responsible for conveying any return or refund policy to the buyer prior to delivery.
- Monies for artwork sold will be mailed to the artist before the end of the following month.
