CCA Community Mural

CCA'S FIRST PUBLIC ART MURAL

CCA’s very first Community Mural is COMPLETE!

The winning design was selected for our first Community Mural Project (Congratulations, Tigg Morales!). Work began on November 18th and was completed in less than one month. It’s located at 555 W. Main Street. Be sure to come by to see the final piece.

Thank you so much to all our volunteers and donors for this project. We couldn’t do this without you.

We are grateful to Cutruzzola Vineyards for providing the wall for this mural, and also to Mel Mcculloch for allowing us to work on his property.

What was the Process?

Submissions were considered by committee based on the content and how it might work with the other submissions into the final composition.
The winning selection was then translated into a final design (created by a committee of artists).
The selected wall was primed and the final design was transferred by projection onto its new home.
Then the 50+ volunteers painted the final work of art. No artistic skill was needed for much of this final part of the project and all were welcome.
The artist whose work was used as inspiration in the final mural design was publicly acknowledged.
Posters are available for purchase. All proceeds will go toward supplies and equipment needed for the project.
Note: We required all volunteers to wear masks and observe social distancing
