Cultural & Heritage Awareness

We are very excited to be embarking on a new journey about Cultural and Heritage Awareness! Our goal is to Educate about culture and heritage to Create a more inclusive community so we can Celebrate the past, present, and future together.

Our plan is to bring awareness about different cultures and heritages by providing events, classes, lectures, performances, films, documentaries, and exhibits that will enrich our knowledge and understanding to promote learning, conversation, and growth.

As we are just beginning this journey and, due to restrictions from Covid-19, we will be providing material and resources to virtual events primarily online at this time. In the future, we hope to bring more in-person and live events to the Center.

Community Arts

We believe it is our responsibility to achieve our mission of engaging our community in the arts. In 2020 we started our first Community Arts Projects, the Rainbow Community Art Project and our first mural which is almost 1000 square feet. We are excited to provide a welcoming, professional and beautiful center, but taking the arts beyond our walls and involving our community is as important. Arts bring us together.

Community Arts Projects

  • Murals - Number one is completed, we anticipate completing number two, and possibly number three in 2021
  • A Day in the Life of Cambria - An ongoing photo challenge, the first being on March 21, the first day of spring.
  • Sculpture Gardens - Stay tuned as we begin planning the where, what and how.

Classes, Workshops, and Lectures

What would you like to learn or improve? We are reaching out to our community to create a schedule that meets your needs. Please take a look at our Learning page to see how we support all levels of learning for all of the arts.

Store Front Art

Do you have an empty window or lobby just asking for some works of art? Contact us if you would like a local artist to display art for sale on a rotating basis.

Each year CCA provides $1000 each to three CUSD high school seniors pursuing a career in the arts. Contact your school counsellor for more information.

Once a year we host a Celebration of the Arts event that is free to our community. Each year’s event brings something new and interesting in all areas of the arts. Stay tuned for more information about our 2021 event as COVID restrictions begin to lift.
