FEATURED ARTIST

Rosemary Pisciotta

Born and raised in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Rosemary's earliest memory of creating art was drawing faces with a stick in the hard-packed dirt of her friend's driveway. Growing older, Rosemary exchanged that stick for a pencil, reproducing images from movie magazines, calendars, and the work of other artists in her family.

Rosemary moved to New Orleans as a young woman. She married and had three children. Her hunger for art was satisfied by taking workshops and getting formal art training at Louisiana State University, where she developed a fondness for the human form. Upon moving to California, she attended college art courses and formal workshops conducted by well-known artists from across the country. Rosemary used explored many mediums throughout her life. Her practice continued until her passing on May 27, 2020.
