Stolo Vineyards - Cambria

The Cambria Film Festival will present a special outdoor showing of the 1926 silent film "Flesh and the Devil" starring Greta Garbo at the lovely Stolo Vineyards in Cambria. This silent film era classic will feature a soundtrack performed live by members of Dirty Cello...

Arrive early, bring some food, buy a glass or bottle of wine, grab a picnic table or set up on the lawn.

Greta Garbo gives an incendiary performance as the smoldering femme fatale in this romantic, and erotically charged melodrama. Co-starring John Gilbert - known as the ”The Great Lover” in the silent film era - who rivaled the other famous leading man of 1920’s, heartthrob Rudolph Valentino, as a box office draw.

Cinematography by Oscar winning director of photography William Daniels, who was the master of black-and-white cinematography and most famous for the 21 films he shot as Garbo’s personal “lensman.” Directed by Clarence Brown (Garbo’s favorite director).

Craig has a long relationship with the Central Coast and the music scene here.  He has performed in Cambria many times.
