Judy Collins's hit ballad, "Suzanne", began as a poem by Leonard Cohen. Judy would go on to cover many Cohen songs, and recently released a 13-track album, "Judy Collins Sings Leonard Cohen: Democracy". Songwriters at Play will celebrate Leonard Cohen and Judy Collins with a tribute concert at CCAT on Sunday Sept. 22. Reserved seats for the 2pm concert are available.

Performers include an all-star lineup of local musicians and touring acts too: Bob & Wendy, Kat Edmondson with Tom Walters, Ricky Berger & Adrian Bourgeois, Donna Phillips, Stephen Bannon, Brent Franklin, Perry West, Emily Zuzik, Ann-Marita, and Kern Richards.

"Suzanne" is in the show, as well as Judy Collins hits such as Send in the Clowns, Someday Soon, and Who Knows Where the Time Goes. Come sing along to Leonard Cohen's widely-covered Hallelujah, plus I'm Your Man, So Long Mary Ann, That's No Way to Say Goodbye, Bird on a Wire, and many more.

Tom Waits and Rickie Lee Jones were romantically linked for a few years, and we'll bring them back together for a tribute concert on Sunday December 1.

Performers include local musicians Tim Pacheco of Ragged Company, Morgan Childers of Second Chance Lucky, Monterey’s Gin Fragonard, Bay Area balladeer Zoe FitzGerald Carter, and L.A.-based artists Jason Luckett, Alison Lewis, Katie Ferrara, Patrick Joseph, Jeanne Newhall, and Jesse Loren Strickman.
