Farah Aria
Farah Aria is an artist, author, illustrator, and art teacher living in Cambria, California. She has created artwork for the children’s market, celebrating multicultural diversity, love and care for the environment, and whimsical art for the child at heart!
Farah started out as a preschool teacher, at her mother’s Montessori Preschool in Pasadena. She studied Early Childhood Development at Cal State LA, then attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, graduating with a BFA in Illustration.
Farah spent several years as a freelance illustrator for the children’s market, using a combination of traditional and digital mediums. Farah’s art has been published in books, magazines, education, posters, greeting cards, packaging design and animation. Farah loves creating artwork for clients who supporting inclusivity, diversity, women, children, and animals. A partial list of clients include The Los Angeles Times, Scholastic Publishing, Sesame Street, Psychology Today Magazine and Lee & Low Publishing. She has illustrated 7 educational books for children. Farah also ran art classes for children ages 4 to 12 “The Purple Tree Art Studio” an in school program and “Soleil Luna” a private art studio program in Pasadena.
Farah is thrilled to be in Cambria, in her studio, writing, illustrating, and editing her own manuscripts, sketching out picture book dummies, and transitioning back to traditional mediums on paper, wood and canvas. Please enjoy some art created for the children’s market. Studio art will be listed for sale soon. Acrylic mixed media paintings, using pastel, gouache, and also sumi ink paintings and encaustic paintings. She is open to commissions in multiple styles. Ask if interested in art workshops for you or your child.
