FEATURED ARTIST
Michael J Costa
Michael’s journey into photography started at a very early age when he first looked at National Geographic magazine. He was fascinated by how his mind could be transformed by an image as he was transported to different countries and cultures visually. The portraits, landscapes and stories made a visual impact on both his heart and his soul.Michael moved to San Francisco to pursue his passion for the arts and photography and received his BFA at the Academy of Arts University. Being a freelance photographer for 10 years has lead him to create a fine art series entitled, Fro-Zen and travel extensively around the world. Telling stories through photographs is his main goal. He achieves this by documenting his journey, finding inspiration within the cultures he engages with and then sharing that pure experience through public exhibitions.
Michael has shown his work in the Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour(2011-2019), various galleries throughout California and finally the Central Coast.
He has volunteered at Art Center Morro Bay as the Docent Director for the last two years and now make Los Osos, Ca his new home.
