JUROR: Kathy Miller is an award winning watercolor artist and a Signature Member of Central Coast Watercolor Society. She has exhibited her work in group and solo exhibitions throughout the state and is well known for her impressionistic yet representational watercolors of nature and local environs. She enjoys traveling in pursuit of new vistas to conquer. Fresh brilliant color and gesture are Kathy's main objectives. Primarily self-taught, she began her career as a young adult. Workshops from well-known artists continue to inspire her as well. Over the years, she has expanded her knowledge and creativity and continues to experiment with how to use the watercolor medium to express her view of the world around us. Finding beauty in everyday surroundings and transforming them into her own vision continues to be a lifelong quest.

What is a Member Artist Station?

Member Artist Stations.

Member Artists can apply to be selected as one of the six artists to be featured in this area. What does it include you ask? Each artist will be designated a folding art bin with their name on it and the wall space above it. If you're a 3-dimensional artist, you can swap the art bin for four pedestals. These stations will be the responsibility of the artist for four months. That means the artist can come into the Gallery and replace artwork or rotate those pieces on the wall regularly. The art bins are 24" wide and pictured here. Often up to (10) painting art can be housed in one station plus one on the wall. $20 FEE for 2 months Show.

There is a Gallery Committee in charge of the Exhibit that will be in charge of the artist selection process. Please notify us of your interest, via email to the Gallery, and we will set up a station for you, to bring in your art on Exchange Day.   Those in charge of curation will also oversee the art presentation of any given station. We want to make sure the presentation is professional and easy to view for our patrons. For more information download the application form linked below or contact the Gallery at gallery@cambriaarts.org. We will be requiring images from each of the applicants before acceptance, so please include these. Unfortunately, you will not be in the Virtual show unless you have uploaded the piece that you plan to place on the wall.  Any pieces that you sell, you can replace and rotate the wall-hung piece if it sells.

You can email the form to the Gallery Manager (gallery@cambriaarts.org) or mail it to our business address at:

Sign up to Docent for the Gallery

Cambria Center for the Arts Gallery hosts some of the best art on the Central Coast. Our doors can only remain open if we have enough people signed up to docent. The responsibilities include sales, helping visitors with questions about the art and artists, offering dates and times for other CCA events, and generally keeping the Gallery looking sharp.

To volunteer to join us, please email Sheri.Parisian@CambriaArts.org. We will be so glad to have you!! No art experience is needed! Come in and make new friends! And enjoy our receptions and shows!

The Gallery is currently open Friday to Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Artists who are participating in the current or coming exhibit are required to sign up for 2 (4-hour) time slots, but we could always use more volunteers to fill more openings. Let us know what you can do!

Featured artists are required to sign up for 4 to 6-time slots during the time of their exhibit, which often helps sell their work.

Training is available by appointment with Hank Friedman at: friedmanhank@gmail.com. You can also receive information on who to contact on Exchange Day.
